Think of this as the volume you have available for your heat sink in your application. Genie defines your working envelope in terms of where your air flow comes from.
封筒の幅
The width of the working envelope refers to the dimension perpendicular to your air flow.
封筒の高さ
エンベロープの高さは、ヒートシンクの設計に使用できる熱源からの距離です。通常、高さとは、ベースの厚さにフィンの高さを加えたものと、フィンの先端の上に含める可能性のある追加のフローバイパスを指します。
封筒の長さ
Length is considered as the flow length, the length that air will flow along the heat sink. 長さは、フィンがヒートシンク上にある長さも指します。
ヒートシンク設計ボリュームの定義
In retrofit applications, these dimensions may be somewhat concrete, as you may be trying to fit a new heat sink into an existing duct or enclosure. これらは、作業エンベロープに使用する寸法になります。
新しいアプリケーションでは、利用可能なヒートシンク容量の柔軟性が高まります。このような場合は、希望するボリュームを使用してください。ヒートシンクの設計をシミュレートする前に、「テクノロジーの選択」ページで計算されるオプションを確認した後、ボリュームサイズを前後できます。
ヒートシンクを小さくする
You have the option to ask Genie to recommend heat sinks that are smaller than your defined working envelope. Genie は、[プロジェクト条件]ページで定義した熱設計の制約を最初に満たします。次に、設定した熱パラメータと流量パラメータを満たせなくなるまで、ヒートシンクのサイズを縮小します。 You'll see a red box in the Technology Matrix if Genie can't meet your requirements. If the Genie can't make a heat sink within the technology manufacturing limits, the box will be greyed out
